I have always loved photography. The thing I love most about it is that it can freeze a feeling, or a moment forever. Or tell a story through a look or a smile.
I remember being young and seeing someone that looked like they had a lot of stories to tell - and wishing I could photograph them.
Later, I realized I not only wanted to document stories through still photos - but I wanted to talk to people about their stories as well. I spent some time in TV news and then began a career in TV and video production. Over the last 15 years, I've been busy producing documentaries and TV shows for public television. That work has received multiple Emmy nominations and awards - and for that I am so grateful! But the most meaningful recognition comes when someone says that I helped them tell their story - that I made them feel comfortable. That means the most.
Over the last decade my love of photography has grown.
I have two strong and beautiful girls and a wonderful husband, and I love documenting our adventures together through photos. I've found that I love taking photos for others as well!
